Singapore is most attractive market for doing business: report
The Lion City will have the best business environment over the next five years.
Singapore is still the world’s best business environment with a score of 8.70 in the second quarter of 2023, a recent report from insights firm, EIU, showed.
The study measures the attractiveness of the business environment in 82 countries on a quarterly basis, using a standard analytical framework with 91 indicators.
According to the study, Singapore, Canada, and Denmark will be the three countries with the best business environment over the next five years.
Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, and South Korea are also amongst the markets with the top business environment.
The rankings also showed that North America and Western Europe continue to be the best places in the world to do business.
Asia is in third place, ahead of eastern Europe, whilst Latin America marginally outperforms the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
