Sourcing Taiwan Smart Applications on Agriculture September 10, 2024 in Taiwan - apply for support!
We inform you on the newly announced B2B event in Taiwan which will take place on 10 September 2024. This procurement event will cover the topic of smart agriculture. It works in the same structure as the one on May 28 2024 which the Greenerg-pro SME delegation will visit in Taichung. Again, grants can be applied for those companies that have not yet received support this year and the requirements are the same (USD 5 million in sales or top 300 importers in their industry in the given country. There are already some Taiwanese companies detected that are expected to participate.
SMEs, if you are interested to attend this B2B event, please complete the application form by indicating the products you prefer to negotiate on and also specifically request a company for the meetings.

Sourcing Taiwan Smart Applications in Agriculuture
Sourcing Taiwan Smart Applications in Agriculture is aiming to help European businesses to find potential suppliers in Taiwan. TAITRA will organise a hybrid event (both online and on-site), with one-on-one business matchmaking. Travel incentives which are subject to TAITRA approval, will be provided to companies that attend the onsite event in Taiwan to source new products and have meetings with at least 5 Taiwanese suppliers.

Taiwan ICT industry
Taiwan is a well-known ICT manufacturing hub where internationally- renowned brands of related products are developed such as computers and telecommunication devices. Taiwan is playing a key role in the world supply chain. Taking the semiconductor industry as example, up to 90% of the semiconductors applied by US technology companies rely on Taiwan. Taiwan's rise in the semiconductor industry is largely attributed to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and United Microelectronic Corporation. Similarly, the rollout of 5G and IoT infrastructure is heavily reliant on the availability of cutting-edge microprocessors which only a handful of firms, including TSMC, have the capacity to manufacture.
