Taiwan has a population of 23.50 million and is ranked as the world’s 16 largest trading country
with a trade volume of USD 907.40 billion in 2022. Taiwan rises to the 7th place in the World
Competitiveness Ranking according to the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022. Taiwan has
been playing a key role in the world supplying chain. Taking the semiconductor industry as
example, up to 90% of the semiconductors applied by USA well known technological companies
rely on Taiwan. The rollout of 5G and IoT infrastructure is heavily reliant on the availability of
cutting-edge microprocessors which only a handful of firms, including TSMC, have the capacity to
manufacture.

Taiwan export to Hungary had a 5% of growth compared to 2021, reaching to USD 764 million with
the major products such as Information and communication devices and their parts,
semiconductor, fastener, electrical supplies, metal processing machinery, bicycle parts, vehicle
lighting, diagnostic devices, plastic processing machinery, battery. Taiwan import from Hungary
totalized USD 463 million which had a 16% of growth, with the major products such as
automobile, motor, air compressor, battery, tire, switch, chemicals.

This will be the first in-person Taiwanese trade delegation to Hungary since 2020. It is our hope
that you will seize the opportunity to get to know the new innovative products of Taiwan and find
new partners. Welcome to register with us!
