Singapore and Vietnam powers commitment to energy transition with MoU

The agreement covers key areas such as R&D and low-carbon energy technologies.

Singapore and Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Energy Cooperation to reaffirm both countries’ shared commitment to support and facilitate energy transition in key areas.

The two countries, together, will focus on the development and financing of renewable energy, the development of interconnectors for increased grid resilience and stability and electricity trading, research, development, and deployment of low-carbon energy technologies and solutions, smart grids and related infrastructure and other key areas of collaboration.

The MOU on Carbon Credits Collaboration is the first MOU to be signed between Singapore and an ASEAN Member State.
