UNDP and the Government of Switzerland announce additional funding for the implementation of the Green Agenda in Serbia

On Monday, the United Nations Development Program will present the first results of public calls within the "EU Green Agenda in Serbia" initiative, UNPD Serbia announced, and at the same time announced additional funding for a "greener" Serbia.

UNDP will present selected innovative solutions received from all over Serbia in response to the question of how to increase energy production from renewable sources, reduce energy consumption, encourage a circular economy without waste, reduce pollution and improve air quality, restore forest ecosystems and green urban areas in Serbia, it states. in the announcement.

Almost 140 actors (public and private companies, local governments, scientific research institutions and civil society organizations) sent their proposals in response to 4 public calls on these topics, announced from March to June this year as part of the "EU Green Agenda" initiative in Serbia".

At the conference, representatives of the Swiss government will announce additional funding for the implementation of the Green Agenda in Serbia.

The initiative "EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia" by UNDP with the financial support of the European Union, in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden, the European Investment Bank and the Government of Switzerland.
